Last month, we visited the region and conducted a review of the project status. We identified next steps that we will progress on during 2025. The project will be located close to city of Lviv where 50 hectares of land was purchased in April 2024.
Kingspan has been working with the Design team in Kyiv and Lviv over 2024 to create a site master plan, utility supply design, campus road network, campus infrastructure and layout of each of the factories. All of this information has been submitted to the Ukraine Building Authorities for final approval and building permit. It is expected that the site clearance and ground preparation work will begin in February or March of this year.
We have been working closely with local organisations where the site is located and with Invest in Lviv. The discussions focused on the layout and use of the new campus, Ukraine’s reconstruction effort and the implementation of joint projects in Lviv, the region and country wide, including education and training programmes with Lviv universities and vocational schools. This is an important piece of work, recognising the need for the campus to hire people once operations begin there.
As a result of the above, Invest in Lviv have named Kingspan an investment ambassador of Ukraine for foreign investors, recognising Kingspan’s longstanding presence in Ukraine (Kingspan’s Insulated Panels business have had a commercial office in Lviv since 2010) and our commitment to support its reconstruction efforts with a profitable, long-term business for Kingspan.
Oleh Veklyn (Lyviv City Council), Andriy Pavliv (Invest in Lyviv), Mike Stension (Kingspan Project Saoirse Project Director) and Sasha Shekhter (Kingspan Group Chief Legal Officer).

Project Saoirse progress continues
In 2023, we announced our plan to build a €280 million Building Technology Campus near the city of Lviv that will manufacture insulated panels, mineral wool insulation, daylighting products and district heating solutions, with a focus on energy efficiency. All of the products currently manufactured by the Kingspan Group will be manufactured in the Building Technology Campus, once it is complete.
